  It was actually just an observation with respect to many X-Jws. I suppose it is a testament regarding the depth of the "programming" to look down on those deemed Worldly.

  First did god kill the baby because it got a blood transfusion to drive the point home to the disobedient husband?

  I don't believe so. It may have been the prolonged delay in administering the potentially life saving blood. How very sad. The baby must have had a very serious condition.

  Yep, the urge to pass judgment on those we deem to be our inferiors is one that dies hard. The indoctrination was wicked but certain aspects of it seem to continue to produce pleasurable sensations.

  The Judge was very good at what he did judgmentally. The cult lives on even outside the cult!

  New "paradise" video preview? "Will you be there?"

  my wife (unstuck) just saw a new 2-3 min video in her ex jw facebook feed, depicting a "paradise" scene preview.. it was complete with aerial shots and slow motion montages, with moving music.. scriptures were quoted across the screen, such as rev 21:3,4. i shazamed the music, and it came from another "worldly" album called "world of dreams.future world music" (you should see the song titles from that album!).

  is it an official wt video, or some private persons production?.

  if it is official, they seem to have once again resorted to desperate emotional manipulation tactics..... anyone else know?

  It has a splendid answer too. The witnesses will be shocked to discover that yes, they will be there, among the very great crowd of everybody else. That has always been the plan. We have much to learn on the way there.

  i think one strange view is how only 144000 go to heaven.

  since the number is mentioned in the symbolic book of revelation, you would expect that the number would be viewed as figurative, but jws say otherwise.

  I agree, there are so many of their teachings which are strangely exclusive.

  One that I never believed is that the WTB&TS is God's chosen earthly organization.

  Another that I never believed is that only Jws will be "saved" and all others are doomed to eternal destruction.

  Actually, I wasn't alone. I knew other witnesses who doubted those teachings as well. Back when the thinking ability of most witnesses wasn't as strongly controlled and discouraged as it has become nowadays.

  your thoughts...how is it that trump can dictate what goes on in other countries?

  can anyone from another country come here and tell us what to do...trump is now the president of the world now, uh?.

  i'm not really savvy regarding politics but i'm no dummy either...what the heck is going on in the world.... again, any thoughts ?

  Et Cetera (etc.) in earlier times was rarely incorrectly abbreviated, but today it is very common to see ect. instead. Correct grammar and correct spelling are going the way of the unicorn since the West's embrace of mediocrity.
